Undergraduate Online Open Day, School of Health Sciences 

Join us online on Wednesday 14th October 2015 to find out where studying with the School of Health Sciences could lead you. Talks and live chats will be happening throughout the day. Timings for the talks are in the schedule below.

Throughout the day you will have the opportunity to; 

  • See presentations about the courses
  • Chat with current students and academics
  • Find out about NHS student finance
  • Find out about life at City University London

Schedule

10.00 AM GMT - Optometry Session –
In a talk recorded at our Open Day in September, Lecturer Byki Hutjens, gives an overview of Optometry at City. This will be followed by a live chat from Chris Stone, the Admissions Officer for the programme will follow. Chris will be joined by one of our Optometry students who can tell you about her own experiences.

11:00 AM GMT - Speech, Language, Therapy and Sciences Session –
Paul Turner, Senior Lecturer, gives a talk about the programmes we offer in Speech and Language Therapy and Speech and Language Science. Abigail Levin another Senior Lecturer and one of our students will be available to answer any questions you have studying at City.

12:00 MIDDAY GMT - Nursing Session -
Anne Manning, Senior Lecturer, gives an overview of Nursing at – covering Adult, Child and Mental Health. You can ask Anne or Paul Bentley any questions about Nursing at City and then have then take part in a web-chat with our Nursing students.

14:00 PM GMT - Radiography Session-
Richard Thorne provides a talk giving an overview of Radiography at City – covering Diagnostic Imaging and Radiotherapy and Oncology programmes. This will be followed up by a Q&A with both Richard and Sue Humphries, who teach on each of the programmes. Radiography students will be taking part in web-chat as well.

15:00 PM GMT - Midwifery Session -
Judith Sutherland, Programme Manager for Midwifery, provides an overview of Midwifery at City. She will be joined in a Q&A by one of Midwifery students.
