THIS EVENT DOES NOT TAKE PLACE AT CITY UNIVERSITY LONDON

IFSTAL’s third lecture: Food system ‘actors’ and their activities. Delivered by Dr Barbara Haesler and Lauren Blake.

LOCATION: This event takes place at Manson Lecture Theatre, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), Keppel Street, WC1E 7HT

Who shapes what activities in the food system, and how, at all the different stages and levels? Using some example foods, we will be looking at the wide range of actors – people who do things, and the activities – things people do, in the many diverse parts of food systems. From direct roles like farmers, processors and consumers, to indirect ones like bankers, policy makers and scientists, we will move from designing and producing, to preserving, influencing, buying and wasting.

Self-registration will be from 5pm, with the lecture starting at 5:15pm.

This event is being hosted by LCIRAH (RVC, LSHTM, SOAS) and City University London. The lecture will be live streamed to our collaborating IFSTAL institutions (Oxford University, Reading University and Warwick University).
