1.00pm

Seminars

Public

Speaker: Dr Narine Ghazaryan - Brunel University.

Series: Institute for the Study of European Laws seminar series.

Abstract

Ten years following the inception of the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP), it is evident that the policy is in crisis. It has failed spectacularly to achieve its proclaimed objectives, namely the integration of the neighbouring states without a membership perspective and the guaranteeing of the comprehensive security around the borders of the EU. The talk will address some of the policy failures and will question the future course of EU action in the neighbourhood with an emphasis on the ENP legal instruments.
