Speaker: Professor Antonio Mana, Secure Society Labs Ltd, University of Malaga.

Series: CeNACS seminars.

The use of computing and communication devices is now an important part of our lives and span all our daily activities. These devices and the IT systems that we access through them have enormous capabilities for recording and tracking our activities and, therefore, have a potential for being powerful tools for law enforcement.

At the same time, they represent an important risk to privacy and open the door to unlawful surveillance. This seminar will review the current state of the art and practice as well as future trends in this area, and present a series of considerations and challenges that must be addressed. It will also introduce the concept of forensic-readiness-by-design as an extension of the privacy-by-design paradigm.

The presentation can be found here.
