Word of mouth has long been identified as one of the most powerful influences on consumer behaviour. In this masterclass, Caroline Wiertz, Reader in Marketing at Cass Business School, will give you a short overview of what we know about these word-of-mouth processes and share the results of a recent research collaboration with Twitter, studying the influence of word of mouth on the adoption of new products, as well as on our media consumption habits.
