The City Law School's third annual Maritime Law Symposium this year will address the topic of maritime arbitration.

Beginning with an address by Mr. Panos Laskaridis, the symposium will help you to gain a better understanding of arbitration as the preferred mechanism chosen for the resolution of maritime disputes.

Our keynote speaker on the day, Mr John Tsatsas, Former President of the London Maritime Arbitration Association (LMAA), will also share his knowledge and wisdom from 50 years working in maritime law. Speakers include:

Mr John Tsatsas, Former President of the London Maritime Arbitration Association (LMAA)

Former Managing Director of Argonaut Agencies Limited, former member of the Board of Directors of Bimco, former Director of the Baltic Exchange and former President of the London Maritime Arbitrators Association (LMAA).

Mr Trevor Harrison, Bunker Arbitration specialist

Maritime arbitrator and mediator and occasional consultant. A member of the Baltic Exchange, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators(MCIArb), an Aspiring Full Member of the London Maritime Arbitrators Association (LMAA).

Mrs Ioanna Vitta, Partner at Thomas Cooper

Partner at Thomas Cooper based in the Piraeus office specialising in shipping litigation. Ioanna also advises on marine insurance disputes and is actively involved in arbitration.

Mr John Psichogios Attorney-at-law at Eletson Corp

Experienced lawyer in a very busy department within a major tanker vessel shipping company.

The speakers will also be joined by Professor Jason Chuah, Head of Academic Programmes at The City Law School and Professor Christopher Ryan, Associate Dean International, The City Law School.

A buffet and refreshments will be served following the question and answer session where you can talk informally with other guests.
