The LDC Research Development Programme for 2012-13 continues with the Spring Researchers' Development Day, to be held on Tuesday 16th April 2013. All staff and research students at City University London are invited to attend.
The Researchers' Development programme aims to meet the needs of researchers at different stages in their career. It has also been designed so that attendees will have the opportunity to interact with other research students across the university, with early career researchers who have completed their research degrees and with academic staff who are at the forefront of their disciplines.
This one day event will explore the theme of What to do with your data and findings.
Included will be sessions on the following topics:
• Preparing abstracts and presenting papers and posters at conferences.
• Qualitative and quantitative data analysis
• How to get published in journals
• Entrepreneurship and knowledge transfer
• Managing a research team and project
• Vivas - Preparation needed, the purpose and roles of those involved.
• The research - teaching relationship
The Researchers' Development Days are a unique opportunity for researchers from across City University to come together and learn new skills.
There is a moodle module dedicated to the LDC Researchers' Events. Here you will find links to the sessions from the Autumn Researchers' Development Day held in November 2012 and more information about future events.
