To mark the fiftieth anniversary of the Korean Armistice, Professor Bruce Cumings assesses the significance of the conflict and its historical legacy for the global system and today's East Asia.

Bruce Cumings is Gustavus F. and Ann M. Swift Distinguished Service Professor in History and the College at the University of Chicago.
