Speaker: Joella Bruckshaw

Series: Innovation, Creativity and Leadership Talks

PLEASE NOTE - Change of room. This talk is now in the College Building on St. John Street. Room AG01

The Innovation, Creativity and Leadership (ICL) Talks are a series of seminars hosted by the Centre for Creativity in Professional Practice. The talks take place on the first Wednesday of every month and will cover a wide range of topics linked with innovation, creativity and leadership. The talks are free to attend and open to the public.

This months talk:

Women and leadership: How women get to the top

The aim of the talk is to consider the findings of recent research interviews with women in senior roles establishing from their personal assessment what they did to be promoted.
I will talk about the current context for women wanting to transition to senior roles and share some of the stories and advice offered by the 20 successful senior women I interviewed for my recently published e-book "How to do it by women who've done it". We will conclude with an opportunity for an attendee to work with myself to plot a compelling career pathway as a way of demonstrating my theoretical point of view.
