This seminar will investigate the support given to clients with mental and physical health conditions on the government's flagship employability programme: the Work Programme. Ingeus UK is the largest provider of the Work Programme operating in seven regions across the country and will deliver employability support to over 100,000 people this year, including those who currently claim Employment Support Allowance and former long-term claimants of Incapacity Benefit. The session will reflect on the lessons learnt in the first year of delivery and how Ingeus' Condition Management Programme is helping those furthest away from work to overcome the barriers which stop them from moving into secure, sustainable employment.
Martyn Rosser has worked for Ingeus UK for 5 years and in his current role as a Policy and Research Analyst investigates delivery of employability programmes and how to improve the experience of the long-term unemployed through both policy and practice. Prior to his current role he worked for several years as both an Employment Advisor and a Group Facilitator on previous Employment Programmes including the New Deal.
