The Centre for Food Policy is organising its third City Food Symposium this year on the state of food policy in local practice.
This event is kindly supported by the Worshipful Company of Cooks, to whom the Centre is very grateful.
With the financial crisis continuing, the momentum in food policy development (to address widely agreed crises from climate change, obesity, water, demography, prices and more) has slowed.
Yet for years there has been a vibrant movement at more local and regional levels. This symposium will focus on those. Who is doing what, why and where? What are the lessons? Where are the blocks?
The Symposium will be interactive. The 12 talks will present succinct summaries of key themes, and a panel of commentators will initiate a discussion, which you can engage in.
