City University Research & Enterprise Unit (CREU) invites you to attend a networking evening that will provide you with an excellent opportunity to meet some local businesses and to hear from City researchers who have successfully delivered consultancy projects.
CREU is co-hosting the event with CityZone, a business network serving AIM listed, private and VC-backed companies that need market intelligence, expertise and opportunities to grow their businesses in the UK and overseas.
The keynote speaker is Alan Aubrey, CEO, IP Group. He will be talking about commercialisation of Intellectual Property originating from the research intensive institutions.
In the second half of the evening CREU shall be showcasing a selection of consultancy projects and services which have been successfully delivered by City academics and researchers with support from CREU:

Case Study 2 - Dr Simone Stumpf, Lecturer, Centre of Human-Computer Interaction Design (HCID) & Raj Arjan, Manager, City Interaction Lab, SoI ‘How the provision of consultancy services by the Centre and its Interaction Laboratory are helping organisations and businesses improve their web, mobile and multi-touch interfaces whilst enabling it to diversify its sources of income and research portfolio’
Case Study 3 - Dr Steve Gruppetta, RCUK Academic Fellow, SCHS ‘EyeVisor Project – design and development of a compact, inexpensive and comprehensive vision screening device and approaches to securing investment and support from the University and healthcare sector’
