Focusing on the extent to which the legacy of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games can act as a catalyst for the transformation of East London, this event draws on the lessons of previous sporting events as regeneration initiatives and explores the broader context of ambitions for future development of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in the East End of London.

Organised on behalf of the Legacy Company by Dr Gillian Evans (Centre for Research on Socio-Cultural Change) in association with the Cass Business School, the event will explore the potential for 2012 to set a new standard in legacy impacts.
