City University's Balinese Gamelan Ensemble play Gong Kebyar, fast and dynamic
music characterised by complex interlocking melodic and rhythmic patterns, involving up to 25 musicians. Kebyar, which means "like the bursting open of a flower" is a modern style of Balinese
gamelan and the most popular.
