Course Content

Drupal is an open source content management platform powering millions of websites and applications. Drupal 8 has been built using the Symfony framework. Students will learn principles of Symfony and how developers can create their own modules, forms and templates using Drupal 8 Hooks. Templating will be also covered in this course. By the end of the course students will be able to use the Symfony framework to develop a site in Drupal 8.

Tutor Info

Vincenzo Gambino is a Senior Drupal developer at BrightLemon with 9 years of experience in web developing. He usually works in a LAMP with Drupal and other MVC frameworks such as Laravel and Symfony. He uses HTML, CSS and JavaScript to build responsive websites managing CSS using Compass. He worked with organisations such as Propeller TV, Cambridge University, UK Trade and Investment, University of Dammam, MSF, City University London and Pearson.
He’s a Drupal contributor and teacher. He contributed to Drupal Camp London 2016 teaching Drupal and running a session about SSO.

Eligibility

Successful completion of Web Programming with PHP/MySQL Part 2 or equivalent PHP/MySQL skills and completion of  our introductory web authoring short course Building Websites with HTML5 and CSS3 or equivalent (X)HTML authoring skills.
