Getting ideas across successfully requires an understanding of communication styles and behavioural flexibility. This course will enable students to improve their communication skills by noticing and responding to the non-verbal, subconscious communication of others.
Our Building Communication Skills short course offers you the chance to strengthen your communication skills across a variety of situations. Delivered over 10 weekly evening sessions, it provides skills to help you express yourself, convey your ideas and develop confidence socially and in the workplace.

You will learn a range of tools and techniques to enhance communication abilities in a range of situations.
All elements of the course can be applied to the workplace as we look at situations from a work perspective. You reflect on work and the various relationships, as work is usually the driving force

Informal assessment will take place through group discussion, class room activities, group discussion, and questions and answers sessions as guided by your tutor.
Sandra Bynoe joined City, University of London as a Visiting Lecturer in January 2008.
Before joining City, Sandra was as a banker, and is now a trainer and accredited SFEDI business consultant who specialises in supporting the SME market and Social Enterprise.
Sandra holds a BA Honours degree in Business Studies, an MBA, a Postgraduate Diploma in Lifelong Learning, a Diploma in NLP and has many years' experience of coaching junior staff.
