Course overview

This module would be suitable for you if you are working with patients with ENT conditions. This may be in the ENT ward, clinic or department. A day case unit or ambulatory care unit, community, minor injuries and A/E.

It will enable you to focus on clinical skills development within ENT to develop your knowledge and skills to improve care of people with ear, nose and throat conditions.

This module will cover ENT history taking and examination. The management of ENT emergencies.

This is a Nursing Studies top-up degree programme module. If you wish to complete a top-up degree, please apply directly on the Nursing Studies programme webpage. If you would still like to complete this module as a CPPD student but would like to complete a top-up degree at a later date, please note that you will only be able to transfer a maximum of 30 credits which have been awarded within 5 years prior to the start date of the programme (top-up degree). Prerequisite knowledge

Non EEA students can only apply as part of a programme, not as a stand-alone module.

  • You must be a qualified nurse or midwife either in the UK or overseas.
  • Working in a suitable in a suitable practice area

English requirements

For those students whose first language is not English. the following qualification is also required:

  • IELTS: 7.0

Please note that due to changes in the UKVI's list of SELTs we are no longer able to accept TOEFL as evidence of English language for students who require a CAS as of April 2014.
