Brief description of research topic

Azar’s current research explores the macroeconomic impact of immigration and other demographic changes and their relationship to fiscal policy. His work extends DSGE models with endogenous labour supply to also incorporate finite lifetimes or overlapping dynasties and then applying techniques of Bayesian estimation to consider how a richer demographic affects the performance of the models and the impact of dynamic fiscal policy.
