Graduation 2020 FAQ

Will the July 2020 graduation still go ahead? (COVID-19 pandemic)

No. In light of the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the University has decided that it is not possible for the graduation ceremonies to go ahead as scheduled in July. Further information and instructions on how to receive your certificate has been sent to all affected students.

My graduation ceremony (July 2020) has been cancelled. How do I receive my certificate?

Certificates will be sent to you in the post. Further information will be sent in the coming weeks.

Will there be in-person ceremony?

Yes – we are working hard to plan an in-person Graduation ceremony for you, which will take place in 2021, once it is safe to do so.

Am I still a graduate if I do not attend the ceremony?

Yes, you will still be a graduate and receive a certificate.

Who is my awarding body?

City, University of London is the awarding body.

What can I do if I have debts at City?

If you have debts relating to the payment of your tuition fees, our finance team will be in touch with you. You will not be able to graduate until all debts are cleared.
