Modelling of light tissue interactions  in Photoplethysmography

Bio

Subhasri Chatterjee received a B.Sc. (2009) in Physics (Hons.) and an M.Sc. (2011) in Biomedical Instrumentation, both from University of Calcutta, India. After completing her post graduation, she was awarded with the National Photonics Fellowship of India and worked as a research intern in the Department of Physical Sciences, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research-Kolkata (2011-2013). She is currently pursuing her PhD at RCBE, City University London  under the Erasmus Mundus (INTACT) scholarship program (2014-2017). Her main research interest is Biomedical Optics. She has worked in the field of tissue optics and optical spectroscopy. Her present research project is to model light-tissue interaction and explore that to resolve various fundamental questions in non-invasive clinical monitoring techniques, with the main focus on pulse-oximetry.
