Events and ways to meet us

For you to find out more about our courses and The City Law School, we hold a variety of postgraduate and undergraduate events throughout the year. We also attend a variety of law fairs, Institution events and Careers events.

Postgraduate Courses

Law fairs and institution visits

We attend a number of the law fairs each year which are held at other universities and venues around the UK. These events are a great way to get more information on the postgraduate and professional courses we offer and the services we provide. At the fairs, you will have the opportunity to meet some of the academic staff who teach on our courses such as our Masters of Law (LLM) courses, the Legal Practice Course (LPC), the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL), or our new Bar Vocational Studies programmes.

Online chat sessions

The City Law School holds a series of online chat sessions with programme directors answering your questions about our courses and the benefits of studying at City, University of London. This is an opportunity for enquirers, current offer holders and applicants to ask any questions they have before embarking on the respective courses.

Postgraduate open evenings

City hosts three postgraduate open evening each year. These are for students who are considering applying to a postgraduate or professional programme at The City Law School.

International visits

Our International Office also attend many events each year, meeting with international students and their families, answering questions and providing information on everything from our courses to studying in London and in the UK.

Undergraduate courses

The City Law School are delighted to announce a new legal research award, exclusively for current LPC students at The City Law School, in conjunction with Bishop & Sewell LLP.

Undergraduate open days

City, University of London holds open days throughout the year for students interested in taking an undergraduate degree at the Institution.

Applicants days

Later on in the year, we hold open days for students who have already applied for our LLB (Hons) and been made an offer. We usually offer two dates, one in March and one in April.

London Taster Day programme

We also participate in the London Taster Day programme, giving prospective undergraduates the opportunity to "try out" a number of subjects before making their application. The Law Taster Day usually runs in March each year. For full details see www.london.ac.uk/tasters.

Campus tours

In addition, City regularly host campus tours for prospective students. These are usually held on a Wednesday afternoon and can be booked online in advance.

UCAS fairs

The UK Recruitment Office regularly hosts and attends undergraduate recruitment events on behalf of City and its schools.

International visits

Our International Office also attend many events each year, meeting with international students and their families, answering questions and providing information on everything from our courses to studying in London and in the UK.

Public events, forums and conferences

Throughout the year, The City Law School and City, University of London hold a wide range of events, some are for the provision of general or specialist information, some provide updates on key areas of research or business and some just offer an evening of networking in good company. Our Events listing will keep you fully informed of all events taking place within the School, and City's What's On pages will allow you to see event news from other subject areas within City.
