These can be delivered on your organisation's site or at the City, University of London campus in London.

City Health case studies from our bespoke training
We run Stammering Intensive Courses for young people (8-18 years old) who stammer, in the Roberta Williams Speech and Language Therapy Centre based at the University.
This Centre contains state of the art equipment and facilities & builds on the experience and skills of the staff in the Language and Communication Science department.
Tower Hamlets – Cytology and Immunisation Update
Through a larger school wide tender we ran 2 half day updates in Tower Hamlets on Cytology and Immunisation.
East London Foundation Trust – Preceptorship Programme
We were commissioned by ELFT to train up 5 district nurses. We developed eight tailored courses for them which we now offer to the public, including:
- Male Catheterisation
- Manual Evacuation
- Adult Dysphagia
- Intravenous Therapy including Care and Management of Hickman line
- General Wound Care
- Respiratory Care including Spirometry and Palliative care.
We delivered all of these courses in our ‘Top of the Line Clinical Skills’ rooms, which include a mock 6 bed ward, by our exceedingly knowledgeable academic staff many of which are still practicing clinicians.
Islington CCG – Practice Nurse Training
We developed a set of courses to train a set of Islington practice nurses which included courses such as:
- Recognition and assessment of Mental Health conditions
- Diabetes Mellitus
- Introduction to Sexual Health
- An introduction to contraception
- Heart Disease, Heart failure and Prevention of Heart Disease.
We are delivering these courses at the request of the funder in our Northampton Square location using state of the art equipment and City’s ‘Clinical Skills’ lab.
Camden Community Health – Vision Screening for Children
We developed this one day training for 26 community nurses in Camden.
We held this course in Camden and provided them with up to date course content by specialist academic lecturers in the optometry field.
Islington CCG – Cytology Training
We are running an extra cytology update taught by the very experienced and in demand tutor Val McMunn for the Islington CCG.
We also run the Cytology Update as an open course.
St John & St Elizabeth Hospital – Nurse Training
We have run several bespoke sessions for St John & St Elizabeth Hospital over the last 3 years which covered the following areas: Venepuncture and Cannulation, IV Therapy and Fluid Management and Male & Female Catheterisation.
All sessions were delivered on site at their hospital by the same experienced City academic lecturer.
Homerton University Hospital Trust - Nurse Training
Homerton approached City, University of London and asked us to develop 5 study days around the following areas for 15 members of their nursing staff:
- Supervisors role in supporting mentorship students
- Evidence based practice
- Managing students with learning difficulties and supporting students with mental health conditions
- Preparation for revalidation and Managing the deteriorating patient.
All sessions were taught on site at the hospital by experienced City academic lecturers and staff.
North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust – DoL's Training
North Middlesex University Hospital asked us to deliver 5 bespoke sessions on the area of Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards in the context of the Mental Health Act (2005) in an acute hospital setting for 37 of their nursing staff.
These sessions were delivered by 3 highly experienced City academic staff on site at their education centre.
North East London Foundation Trust
NELFT approached us and asked us to deliver bespoke study days around:
- LogMar training
- Height Measurement & BMI refresher training
- Continence & Catherterisation
- Cardio Metabolic Risk.
All sessions were delivered by experienced City academic staff who taught the sessions on site at NELFT's conference centre in Essex.
