Overview and research interests

Lucie's doctoral research aims to examine the role of two key individual characteristics - mindfulness and psychological flexibility - within the work context. The research will build on previous research in occupational health psychology, positive psychology and job characteristics tradition to: (1) explore how work environments and employees' levels of mindfulness and psychological flexibility interact to influence both positive and negative indicators of mental health and work-related well-being (such as burnout, work engagement and flow) as well as attendance levels and productiviity; and (2) contribute to the design, implementation and evaluation of mindfulness-based interventions in workplace settings.
