City Summer Sounds 2016

A free, four-week music festival which features a wealth of talented performers and composers from the City community, alongside guests and friends of the Department of Music.

Byzantine bookWeek 1

Launching this year’s festival is our Alumni showcase. Recent graduates of the City University London music department present an eclectic evening of music, traversing genres from classical to jazz.

Ian Pace Week 2
Includes a concert from our City Studios: A concert of new electronic music, sonic art and audio-visual work created by MA and undergraduate students working in City’s Sound Studios.

Plus-MinusWeek 3 Features a performance by Distractfold. The Manchester-born ensemble specialise in performing instrumental, electro-acoustic and mixed chamber music written in 21st century.

Plus-MinusWeek 4 The final week comprises of three stduent concerts, including a performance by Department of Music's final year jazz students
