Sana is a 3rd year Child Nursing student. Her favourite thing about studying at City is the real ambience to strive for success.
Why did you decide to apply to study at City, University of London?
City really stood out as a good university for my course in terms of their teaching, facilities, and student satisfaction.
What were the most important resources for you in helping you to make a decision?
For me the Applicant Day was a real deal breaker. Talking to the lectures I could see a real passion and commitment to what they did. I was given a tour of the facilities on offer which helped put into prospective what life as a city student would be like.
Once you'd received offers from different universities how did you make your decision to choose City?
Stepping into a profession like nursing it’s essential to be a well-rounded individual. It was for this reason I wanted a place that would be best suited to my learning needs. City sends students to various trusts on placement expanding their exposure to different policies and widening their overall learning experience.
What is your favourite thing about studying at City?
My favourite thing about studying at City is the real ambience to strive for success. The variety of student support available really helps you build as an individual; preparing us not only to get through the degree but also to tackle the working world.
What kind of things are you involved in outside your course?
I am a Student Ambassador and help out in various Open Days, campus tours and general events.
What are the placements on your course like?
As part of my course it is compulsory for me to partake in various clinical and community placements. My last placement was on a general paediatric ward where I had the opportunity to work with children ranging from 6 days -16 year olds.
What would be your top tip for our applicants?
I would definitely recommend researching the university course. Look at the course overview and ask questions so you get a good idea of what to expect and what opportunities are available.
