Naomi is a 2nd year Economics with Accounting student in the School of Policy & Global Affairs. She loves the range of modules covered on her course.
What were you doing before you came to study at City?
I was at college studying business. When I wasn't there, I was at home studying for my A-Levels in Economics and Psychology which I taught to myself.
Why did you decide to apply to study at City, University of London?
Initially I was just looking for a London university, but after researching a lot of options I decided on City. It has the location, it has the recognition and respect and it had the right course for me. Not just the course though, City also has all the added extras like placements and study abroad options as well as free language courses.
What is your favourite thing about studying at City?
I love the range of modules we cover on our course and the passion the lecturers have for their subjects. I also love the atmosphere and community I have experienced here at university.
What kind of things are you involved in outside of your course?
I am a Student Ambassador for the university, which is a great experience and also a fantastic way to earn a bit of extra money. I am also a programme representative for my course and am involved in the Christian Union.
What do you plan to do after you graduate?
After I graduate I would love to travel for a year, as I didn't have the opportunity to do this in a gap year. I then aim to pursue a career in economics with an international company.
What would be your top tip for our applicants?
Find the thing you are passionate about and do that. Simple.
