Lewis is a 3rd year BSc Sociology student. He decided to study at City due to the opportunity to join the Q-Step programme, as part of his course.
What were you doing before you came to study at City?
Before studying at City, I was taking A-levels in Ethics and Drama, Sociology and Philosophy.
Why did you decide to apply to study at City, University of London?
The main reason I decided to study at City was the opportunity to embark on the Q-Step Programme, which is a pathway you can take in your second year that focuses on quantitative data and how to use it in a professional setting.
What is your favourite thing about studying at City?
City has opened a lot of doors for me. I have been able to complete a placement, make new friends and develop as a person over the three years I have been here.
What kind of things are you involved in outside of your course?
I am a Marketing Student Ambassador which means I can meet people from a range of courses.
What do you plan to do after you graduate?
I plan on staying at City to study a postgraduate course in Research Methods.
What would be your top tip for our applicants?
Think about what suits you. Talk to family and friends about issues you feel you may face. Make sure you feel comfortable with what you are doing and have fun.
