Why did you decide to apply to study at City?

Located in the heart of London, I was drawn to the dynamic atmosphere of the city life. I was also aware that City has great career prospects which was an important factor for me when applying.

What were the most important resources for you in helping you to make a decision?

The City website was a good place to start when deciding where to apply. The website has a full breakdown of modules, entry requirements and student profiles for courses which helped me make the decision. City also attended my Sixth Form's Higher Education fair which allowed me to speak to a City representative and find out their experience studying at City.

What is your favourite thing about studying at City?

There are many resources at City to help improve your employability skills. This includes the Careers Service, Mentoring Schemes and frequent skills sessions and careers fairs. City is very invested in helping you grow and the overall atmosphere is very lively.

What kind of things are you involved in outside of your course?

Working as a Student Ambassador, I represent City at Open Days, Taster Days, Higher Education fairs as well as Campus Tours. It is a great opportunity to speak to prospective students and help answer their queries about my course or the university. I am also a CityBuddy, supporting a first-year student transition into university and giving insight into what it's like studying the course.

What do you plan to do after you graduate?

I hope to work in the financial services industry.

What would be your top tip for our applicants?

My top tip is to visit City at one of our Open Days or Campus Tours to get a feel of what it’s like. It's the best way to speak to current students and lecturers to find out more about your desired course.
