What motivated you to pursue postgraduate study?
Getting further specialisation to use in my future career.
What were you doing before applying for a postgraduate degree?
Before applying for a postgraduate degree, I was working as an engineer in the Infrastructure team at Arup London.
Why did you choose City?
I chose City as I consider the MSc program to be very complete and varied.
How are you finding studying in the UK?
I found studying at City very simple, as I can use all the support I need in terms of material to study and it is easy to follow classes.
What does a typical week at university look like for you?
I attended a part-time course, so I was spending two days per week at university. After classes, I would usually study in the library.
What has been your favourite module or aspect of your course so far?
My favourite module has been Bridge Engineering which prepares you to engage in bridge design.
What knowledge and skills has your course helped you develop?
My course has helped me to develop communication and technical skills.
What opportunities and experiences has City offered you so far?
I had the opportunity to develop further my MSc thesis, turning it into a paper that could be published.
What are your career plans and how has City prepared you for them?
I would like to work for an engineering company in Italy, in the bridge department. The MSc at CIty helped me to strengthen my technical skills which will be very useful for this.
What advice would you give to someone considering a postgraduate degree?
Go to all of your classes and do your best to bond with the other students.
