'There was a lot of support from staff and City was a really nice environment to learn in'
Why did you choose to study at City, University of London?
The course looked varied and interesting. With minimal knowledge of Data science I wanted the best chance to learn as much as possible. With a mathematics background one of my key aims was to learn different coding techniques and the different modules available allowed for this.
What do you enjoy most about your course?
There is a lot of support from City staff and City, University of London is a really nice environment to learn in. The subject is so current and it is great to work with people that have a great deal of experience in their teaching areas.
What has been your favourite module and why?
All of the modules have offered something different, from more theoretical machine learning to more practical computer vision - it has been really enjoyable doing them all!
What has been a highlight of your course so far?
I have been allowed access to a large data set from a football stats company for my dissertation so am really excited to use all the skills I have learnt to (hopefully) find out lots of interesting things!
What do you plan to do after you graduate?
I have recently got a new job as a data scientist for a digital marketing company which I am very much looking forward to starting. One day I hope to do a PhD in a related field.
