'City was not only one of the top international universities offering the course & modules I was considering, but it also had the facilities I needed'
Why did you choose to study at City, University of London?
City, University of London was not only one of the top universities offering the course and modules I was considering, but it also had the facilities I needed. City University London looked like an interesting place to study and it had all the resources and facilities (well set-up computer labs, a helpful IT team) I would need. I thought the course would really help me understand problems based on real-life scenarios and would prepare me in overcoming any problems I would potentially face in a corporate environment.
What do you enjoy most about your course?
The course mainly focused on current issues faced in the cyber world and how to eliminate them. It provided a real hands-on experience using current tools and techniques used in the IT-Security industry - this I feel made me technically strong.
What has been your favourite module and why?
It is really difficult to pick only one. I would have to say that my favourite modules were Information Security Management, Cryptography and Digital Forensics as those included a lot of practical and technical challenges. Acting as Ethical Hackers, we also tackled the challenges our course instructor Mr Nikos Komninos encouraged us to think about.
What has been a highlight of your course so far?
The major highlight of the course was how well it prepared us students for a smooth transition into the corporate environment.
What do you plan to do after you graduate?
After graduating I am planning to gain some international work experience in the industry and then continue with my PhD and research work.
