Overview
After studying at the Royal Academy of Music, London, UK, Fred has been professionally active worldwide as pianist and composer since 1981.
Having coached many young artists from beginner to diploma level his students have won important prizes and awards nationally and been awarded scholarships to prestigious schools, conservatories and universities. His students have performed at Royal Opera House, Royal Festival Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Barbican and Fairfield Halls among other well-known venues.
Fred is Founder of Soundpractice Music (www.soundpractice.london), a licensed piano teacher for Bromley Youth Music Trust delivering the Piano Maestros evening class for advanced and diploma-level students. He is Co-Director of the International Summer School for Pianists and Composers, Bromley, Kent and former Head of Keyboard for Croydon Music and Arts leading the Advanced Musicianship Class and delivering Wider Opportunities programmes. He has also served on the National Teacher's Section Committee and London Regional committee of the Musician's Union.
In 2018 Fred was appointed Artistic Associate - Music Education, Fairfield Halls where he leads the Phoenix Piano Academy;

Fred is currently pursuing his PhD at City University of London.
In addition, he is contributing author to the forthcoming Routledge publication 'Mining the Gap', editied by Dr Paul Fleet (Newcastle University).
