Laura is a Global Engagement Manager at City, University of London.
Having started my career in the international development sector, working for the Aga Khan Foundation and the Commonwealth Secretariat, I spent two years growing the international work and profile of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce. I joined City in May 2017 via roles in the communications department of the British Medical Association and UCL’s Anthropology Department.
My current role focuses on increasing the visibility of City’s global work and creating opportunities for people internally and externally to engage with and benefit from it. I am responsible for developing the termly Global Engagement Newsletter and I manage the Global Engagement Seed Fund which provides funding to academic staff to grow City’s university partnerships. I also manage the many ways City engages externally with university and other partners and support the delivery of external scholarship schemes such as the Women in STEM programme funded by the British Council.
