Lucia Cavero-Baptista studied Diplomacy and Foreign Policy MA at City, University of London and graduated in 2014.
Why did you choose to study at City, University of London?
The International Politics department at City is one of the best ones in London and in the UK.
What do you enjoy most about your course?
What I enjoyed the most about the course was the proximity with the professors and their interest for each student's progression throughout the course.
What has been your favourite module and why?
"Strategy, diplomacy and decision-making" was an exciting module with an innovative doctrine. Having two professors teaching the module gave us different perspectives and approaches that could then be applied in real life challenges within diplomacy and decision-making practices. An amazing way of experimenting what is being done "out there".
What has been a highlight of your course so far?
Meeting a lot of interesting people from all around the world. I'm taking with me friends from every single continent!
During my studies I took part in City's Mountaineering Club (CUMC), which was a great excuse to be outdoors and meet amazing people.
What do you plan to do after you graduate?
I am currently working for an economic publication as an international journalist based worldwide.
