Ed studied for a master's degree in Music at City, University of London and graduated in 2014.
Can you tell us a bit about what you're doing now?
I have had articles published on the music criticism websites Drowned In Sound and PopMatters.
Why did you decide to study at City, and how did it help you get to where you are today?
The course looked excellent, there was an internship module and it was in a nice part of London.
What did you enjoy most about your course?
Either writing my dissertation or the critical readings in musicology module.
Were there any lecturers who particularly inspired you?
Kyle Devine was (and still is) incredibly helpful in guiding my dissertation, discussing work with me and suggesting further study options.
What are your long term career plans?
I would like to keep writing freelance music criticism for a while and then eventually do a PhD.
