What was the favourite aspect of your course?
I studied Computer Science with Games Technology and my favourite aspects of the course were the hands on programming, practical projects and how the course gave me the opportunity to be creative.
What was the highlight of your time at City, University of London?
For me it was meeting some very good friends that I am still in touch with today.
How did City prepare you for your chosen career path?
As well as exposing me to a variety of topics relevant to my industry, the Corporate Relations & Employability Unit were very helpful particularly when it came to supporting me in my search for a work placement.
What do you do now and what do you enjoy most about what you do?
I am now Game Production Manager at Azoomee, the safe entertainment platform for kids. I'm also a member of BAFTA Games and Deputy Chair at BAME in Games, the first organisation dedicated to increasing participation of members from the Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities in the games and interactive industries.
I enjoy playing a crucial role in managing the games portfolio of a fast growing entertainment platform; providing fun, age appropriate content to a global audience. I'm also pleased to be actively engaged with organisations such as BAFTA and BAME in Games, making a significant contribution to the creative industries in the UK and beyond.
