About
Overview
Paul Solman is a lecturer in City's Department of Journalism and a former national newspaper journalist.
He is pathway director of the MA Global Financial Journalism and teaches modules at both postgraduate and undergraduate level, including news writing, feature writing, business reporting and journalism ethics. He is also a personal tutor and supervises final projects and dissertations.
As a journalist, Paul has extensive professional experience on newspapers and digital channels, including more than 18 years on the staff of the Financial Times. He has also worked as a freelance writer and communications consultant.
His research interests include media coverage of natural disasters, fake news and the history of the media.
