Paul Solman is a lecturer in City's Department of Journalism and a former national newspaper journalist.
He is joint pathway director of the MA Global Financial Journalism and module leader of the undergraduate Reporting Business elective. Other teaching at City includes the MA Newspaper Journalism, undergraduate modules on feature writing and ethics and supervising final projects and dissertations.
As a journalist, Paul has extensive professional experience on newspapers, magazines and digital channels, including more than 18 years on the staff of the Financial Times. He has also worked as a freelance writer and communications consultant.
His research interests include media coverage of natural disasters, fake news and the history of the media.
