About
Overview
Dr Miguel Bravo-Haro works as a Lecturer in Sustainable Civil Engineering Structures in the Department of Engineering at City, University of London since January 2023. Prior to City he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Centre for Smart Infrastructure and Construction (CSIC) in the University of Cambridge, where he worked on digitalisation of infrastructure, structural health monitoring and data-driven solutions for better assessment of the structural integrity for a wide range of infrastructure assets.
His areas of research span from digital infrastructure and condition monitoring to data-driven structural health monitoring and earthquake engineering. His ongoing research, in close collaboration with academic and industry partners, focuses on sensing technologies and digital twins for Offshore Renewable Energy systems (fixed and floating), data-driven algorithms for early damage detection of railway bridges, development of low-cost sensors for structural monitoring in seismic regions and probabilistic methods applied to engineering problems.
