Overview
Marina is a mother, midwife, lecturer and mixed-methods researcher. She joined City in 2022. Marina is passionate about improving the quality of maternity care to facilitate optimal birth experiences, and sustainable, fulfilling working conditions for midwives and other health professionals. This includes nurturing and supporting students on their journey to becoming midwives.
Marina is especially interested in:
- Addressing inequalities in maternal/newborn outcomes
- Promoting respectful and culturally-aware care
- Implementing evidence-based maternity care including midwife-led care
