Jennifer is a practising barrister. She was called to the Bar in 1994 and is a member of Gray's Inn. She undertook a mixed common law pupillage in Sussex, where she continues to practise. She is a highly experienced family law practitioner, particularly in complex Public law care cases. She has extensive exerience in dealing with contested final hearings and fact findings in cases involving allegations of chronic neglect and abuse, including sexual abuse and non accidental injury. She also has extensive experience in applications for non-molestation and occupation orders in cases involving domestic abuse and harassment.
Jennifer is also widely experienced in Private Children Act proceedings, dealing with all aspects of Child Arrangements Orders, applications for Special Guardianship and re-location.
She is a member of the Family Law Bar Association and a direct access barrister in family law. She is a co-author of Family Law in Practice (12th Edition).
Jennifer was named as a leading junior in the Legal 500 in 2015, 2016 and 2017 prior to commencing as a lecturer at City.
