About
Overview
Chris is Co-Head of the Department of Midwifery & Radiography and Strategic Practice Lead (Allied Health Professionals) within the School of Health & Psychological Sciences at City, University of London.
He is also a lecturer on the BSc (Hons) Radiography (Radiotherapy & Oncology) programme and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Chris initially worked as a therapeutic radiographer at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. After becoming a senior radiographer he continued his clinical career in the NHS and joined the radiotherapy team at City, University of London in a seconded role from 2016 to 2018. He became a full-time member of the academic team at City, University of London in 2018.
Chris has a particular interest in practice and has previously held the role of Practice Education Lead for therapeutic radiography.
He is the link lecturer for the radiotherapy departments at UCLH NHS Foundation Trust and The London Clinic.
Chris works with cancer charities in the United Kingdom in peer-reviewing and updating their patient information resources related to radiotherapy. He has a special interest in the holistic care of prostate cancer patients.
