About City

Green Travel

Cycling initiatives at City

City actively supports cycling and walking as part of its Green Travel Plan, which aims to reduce the environmental impacts of travel generated by City's staff, students and daily activities.  Cycling and walking are great ways to get around London. Not only will you reduce your carbon footprint, but you'll save money and get fit at the same time.

Bike Parking

  • Secure bike parking facilities are available in Drysdale Garden. The bike enclosures are accessible by swipe access only. To gain access please email paf-premises@city.ac.uk with your full name and staff/student ID number. Access will be added to your City ID card by the Security team within 24 hours.
  • If you would like to gain access to the cycle enclosures and have a personal locker, please follow this link. A refundable £10 deposit is required for the bike lockers. Your locker location and pin code will be emailed to you and access will be added to your City ID card by the Security team within 24 hours.

Cycle-to-work scheme

The Cyclescheme is available for staff wishing to obtain bikes and safety equipment for travelling to work. Contact Human Resources on 020 7040 3085 for further details or visit the staff hub.
