Derwent Point offers a choice of studio rooms all fitted with modern appliances and furniture. Each studio is self-contained; rooms include a private en-suite bathroom and kitchen area as well as a study desk and an LCD TV including TV licence.

There is also an on-site common room and laundry. High-speed internet access* and all utility bills and contents insurance are included in the rental price.

Derwent Point offers 24 hour on-site security including CCTV, secure door entry and intercom system and is located just a short walk from the main University buildngs.

Please note that there are 12 studios with a restricted view in this hall. These rooms have been given a lower price band due to this.

All halls of Residence are self-catered, therefore students are responsible for their own cooking. Bedding is not provided in study bedrooms and cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery are not provided.

Please note that Derwent Point is designated entirely non-smoking. This includes all buildings and external grounds.

Students who are offered accommodation at Derwent Point will sign an agreement with Derwent Living and not with City University, and will therefore be bound by Derwent Living's terms and conditions of residence.

Building Works:

There are currently building works being carried out by The McGee Group opposite Derwent Point on Goswell Road which could affect those living in studios overlooking the site. Works are from 8am-6pm Monday to Friday, and 8am-1pm on Saturdays. No work on Sundays. The works are expected to end in September 2012.
