Translation CPD courses

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is a way of ensuring that you keep up-to-date with recent changes, as well as permanently maintaining and improving your skills and knowledge. CPD activities allow you to specialise further in particular areas of interest, and provide an opportunity to meet other professional translators.


Both large professional translators' associations in the UK (the CIOL and the ITI) encourage members to undertake CPD, and translators need to provide evidence of CPD in order to qualify for the status of Chartered Linguist.


City University London has been providing specialised CPD courses since 1996, and is a member of both the ITI and CIOL.
