Overview
This four-day course, a module from our Legal Translation MA, is offered here for continuining professional development. The course covers: key principles of financial law in England and Wales; document analysis; key legal principles and documentation in a foreign language; a discussion of the issues in translating financial law documents; translation of excerpts of financial texts.What will I learn?

- Financial instruments, markets and associated terminology in France/Germany/Spain
- Document analysis of financial instruments in French/German and Spanish
- Securities offering prospectuses and securities listings in France/Germany/Spain
- Annual reports and risk reporting in France/Germany/Spain
- Implementation of financial reporting principles in France/Germany/Spain

Translation of financial legal texts:
- Discussion of issues in the translation of financial legal documents
