Overview
This one-day course, taken from our Legal Translation MA, is offered here for continuing professional development. It includes a discussion of the issues in translating EU legal documents, and the translation of various document types.What will I learn?
- Discussion of the key issues in the translation of EU documents
- Translation of a selection of the following document types: treaty provisions, EU legislation (regulations and directives) ECJ judgments, resolutions of the European parliament.
All translation workshops will address formatting and layout in different jurisdictions, terminology issues and syntactic issues
