"This nomination is based on the success of an industrial-focused project on the development of an ‘Instrumented Railway Current-Collecting Pantograph’.  This project was initially funded by the EPSRC, with follow-on funds from the Railway Safety and Standards Board, via industry partner Brecknell Willis, a world-leader in railway electrification systems."
