Teaching excellence

High-quality teaching doesn’t stop at school. High-quality learning and teaching is an integral part of what we do.

Spaces are available on undergraduate courses starting this September.

At City, University of London we take the responsibility of delivering high-quality teaching seriously and recognise that it is important to our students. This has become even more important to the sector with the introduction of the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), for which City has received a Silver award.

Here we aim to highlight teaching at City through five of our academic stars.

Professor Chris Greer

"Teaching, if done well, can transform the way you think about the world around you."

Emily Allbon

"We help our students to understand complex theories and inspire them to achieve their potential."

Dr Pawel Bilinski

"Our lectures and tutorials are hands-on and interactive; they aren’t broadcasts, they are discussions."

Suzanne Lee

"I encourage students to explore their own values and to establish what kind of midwife they want to be."

Dr Omid Yeganeh

"When I’m teaching, I’m not just there to get the job done. I’m passionate about engineering and my research."

See where London’s best teaching can take you by coming along to our Open Day on 23rd and 24th June 2017.
