How easy was it to settle in?

Very. I'm lucky enough to live with my family in London. However, City provides a lot of support and advice to students, on matters as large as student accommodation, finances, or personal difficulties.

What do you like best about your course?

My course gives a good insight into the financial world. It covers topics about current events and provides applications of mathematical models to the real world and offers a good grounding for any career.

What is your favourite part of living in London?

The variety of activities, travel opportunities - easy access to countries around Europe for short trips - and the dynamism of the job market.

What activities/clubs/societies are you involved in?

Age Wisdom which is a start-up charity which aims to promote better health during the ageing process, Junior Chamber International and the Adam Smith Institute.

What do you like best about studying at City?

Programmes offered/subjects taught and the career services offered by the University.

What advice do you have for new students?

Be open minded, don't be afraid of talking to people you don't know: we're all there for the same reason! Make the most of the advantages that the student life offers: clubs/societies, discounts, etc.

Where do you see yourself after graduation?

I am currently looking into positions in Finance - Audit in particular - with the possibility of studying for the Chartered Accountancy qualification.
