Why study at City?

Scholarships

City University London has a range of scholarships and prizes available for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Some of these are generously funded by charitable foundations, former students, individual Schools and other bodies and can be applied for each academic year. There are also scholarships available within individual Schools or departments.

Undergraduate Scholarships

There are several new Undergraduate Scholarship schemes open to new students, including The Lord Mayor of London Scholarships worth up to £3,000 a year for three years and the Sir John Cass's Foundation Lord Mayor's Scholarship Programme worth £7,000 each year of a 3 year course following succsessful academic progression. Postgraduate Scholarships

Postgraduate scholarships have now closed for 2011-12.  Please review our web site in April for scholarships available for the next academic year.  Note that many scholarships are already open for 2012-13 offered directly by the academic departmentsClick here for more information on these departmental scholarships.

Alumni Prizes

Five awards of £500 each are now open for nomination by staff and students who wish to give recognition to an exceptional student who has greatly contributed to City University London or the Islington community outside of their studies. Daiwa Foundation Tohoku Scholarships

Substantial scholarships are now available for Japanese students coming from the Tohoku region to study in the UK.  For full details on how to apply, please see the British Council Website
